UPSEE Examination 2018: UPTU is a public university in the India state of Uttar Pradesh set up by the Government of Uttar Pradesh. According to the university’s website, it is the biggest technical university in Asia. It had approximately 800 colleges affiliated to it. UPTU offers courses like B.Tech, B.Arch, BHMCT, BFAD, B.Pharma, MCA, MBA. The function of organizing entrance examination for degree level engineering and other professional courses has been assigned to Uttar Pradesh Technical University (UPTU).

What Is The Eligibility Criteria for UPSEE 2018?-

For B. Tech.
  • Age:There is no age limit for this exam.
  • Subjects:You must have taken up Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects in your 10+2 or equivalent exam.You must have taken up Physics and Mathematics OR Biology as compulsory subjects in your 10+2 or equivalent exam (for B. Tech courses).You must have one optional subject from Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology or a Technical Vocational subject.
  • Score in 10+2 or equivalent exam:As a General category candidate, you must have secured a minimum aggregate of 45%.If you are an SC or ST category candidate, the minimum aggregate is 40%.Here is the list of equivalent exams.
  • Year of passing 10+2 or equivalent exam:There is no year limit for applying to this examYou are also eligible for this exam if you’ve applied to a qualifying exam.
  • Aadhaar card requirement:You need a registered Aadhaar Card Number to be eligible to apply for UPSEE.
  • Number of attempts:There is no limit to the number of attempts in this exam.

  • B.Tech/B.Pharm: For admission to the first year of B.Tech/B.Pharm courses in UPTU/AKTU 2018 candidate must have clearly passed intermediate examination of Uttar Pradesh Board or 10+2 level examination or its equivalent from any recognized Board/University without grace in required each compulsory subjects and one optional subject as given in table above and securing minimum 45% marks (40% marks for SC/ST Category candidates) in aggregate in required three subjects.
  • BHMCT/BFAD/BFA: For admission to the first year of BHMCT/BFAD/BFA courses in UPTU/AKTU 2018 candidate must have clearly passed intermediate examination of Uttar Pradesh Board or 10+2 level examination or its equivalent from any recognized Board/University and securing minimum 45% marks without grace (40% marks for SC/ST category candidates) in aggregate.
  • B.Arch: For admission to the first year of B.Arch course in UPTU/AKTU 2018 a candidate must have clearly passed intermediate examination of Uttar Pradesh Board or 10+2 level examination or its equivalent from any recognized Board/University and securing (i) minimum 50% marks in aggregate and (ii) clearly passed without grace in each compulsory and optional subjects as given in above table.
  • B.Arch Lateral Entry: A candidate possessing three years Diploma in Architecture (10+3) recognized by Central/State Government is also eligible for admission to the first year of B. Arch course in UPTU/AKTU 2018 and the candidate has to pass the diploma examination securing minimum 50% marks in aggregate without grace. Such candidates will have to appear in the UPTU/AKTU 2018 entrance examination for the first year of B.Arch course.
  • B.Tech(Agriculture): For admission to the first year of B.Tech(Agriculture) course in UPTU/AKTU 2018 a candidate must have clearly passed intermediate examination of Uttar Pradesh Board or 10+2 level examination or its equivalent from any recognized Board/University in agricultural subjects and secured minimum 45% marks without grace (40% marks for SC/ST category candidates) in aggregate.
  • Legit: All candidates who are eligible for admission to UPTU/AKTU 2018 B.Tech course are also eligible for B.Tech(Agriculture Engineering) and B.Tech(Biotechnology) courses.

Uttar Pradesh State Engineering Exam (UPSEE 2018) is conducted by Uttar Pradesh Technical University (UPTU) for admissions in various graduates and post graduates courses. Candidates who want to take admission in courses like  B.Tech, B.Pharm, MCA, B.Arch, B.FAD can apply for UPSEE Exam 2018. Every year a number of candidates appear for UPSEE examination for getting admission to various colleges of UP. UPTU Marking Scheme 2018-

  • The Uttar Pradesh University Entrance Exam pattern is conducted in OFFLINE Mode, i.e., in Pen and Paper Mode.
  • Each Question Carries Four Marks for each correct answer.
  • There shall be NO Negative Marking for wrong answer type question. However, the record of incorrect answers chosen by the candidate will keep separately.
  • From Paper I to Paper 4, the exam will be conducted in OMR Based.
  • Paper 5 to Paper 11, the written exam will be a Computer Based Test.

The Uttar Pradesh AKTU Board will conduct the eleven papers. The Students have opted the respective papers during the UPSEE Application Form filling.

Minimum Qualifying Marks : Students must have to secure the marks from the UP State Entrance Examination (UPSEE) for the following with categorey wise

  • 45% ( 40% for SC/ST ) marks in subject groups for B.Tech, B.Tech ( Bio Tech), B.Pharm, BHMCT, BFA, BFAD, B.Tech Lateral Entry & MAM Dual Degree.
  • 50% ( 45% for SC/ST excpet B.Arch ) aggregate marks ( without grace ) in qualifying exam for B.Arch, MBA, MCA & MCA ( Lateral Entry ).

Candidates, who are going to appear in the UPSEE exam, can check the UPSEE Result 2018 through online mode. The result will not be provided through offline mode. Aspirants can check their results through roll number or by application number. A merit list will be prepared on the basis of marks obtained in the entrance test. After checking the result, candidate must take printout of it for further use.

UPSEE 2018 Result Date-

The university will conduct the UPSEE exam on 29th April 2018 (for UG) and 5th & 6th May 2018 (for PG and LE) courses. After the completion of exams, UPSEE result 2018 will be declared in the last week of May, 2018 for all courses. Candidates who will qualify the exam can participate in the counselling process. It will be organized through online mode. UPSEE counselling 2018 will be organized in the month of June 2018.

How to Check UPSEE Result 2018-

Candidates can follow the step by step process to check the result of UPSEE exam:

 

  • Click on the official website link. (link will be provided above)
  • A new page will be displayed on the screen.
  • Select the respective option, i.e. UG Candidate or PG Candidate.
  • Choose any one option, i.e. Search by Roll Number or Search by Application Number.
  • Enter your roll number or application number carefully.
  • After filling the details, click on the “Search” button.
  • The result will be displayed on the screen.
  • Candidates must take printout of the result for future references.

  • Be thorough with your basics: Most questions in the UPSEE exam test your basics. The more you read concepts, the more you will understand how they are applied to different questions.
  • Time management: You must allocate equal time to Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Don’t forget to focus on your weak areas.
  • Define your study material: Studying from too many sources can cause confusion. Stick to a few well-known and established reference books. This way, you can evolve your concepts via problem solving, instead of just reading.

A – No, the admit card of UPSEE will only be available in online mode for the candidates. Therefore, it is necessary that you download it as and when available. The downloaded admit card only will be considered as valid.

Q – For how long do I need to preserve the admit card of UPSEE?

A – You will have to keep your downloaded UPSEE admit card safely till the admission procedure gets over. You will have to produce the admit card during counselling process also.
