Bureau of Safety and Environmental Enforcement is an Organisation in USA, developed in 2011 and response to the regulatory failure of Minerals Management Service (MMS) in the Deepwater Horizon oil spill to replace the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management, Regulation and Enforcement and MMS, which existed since 1985.
The Bureau exercises the safety and environmental enforcement functions formerly under the Minerals Management Service, including the authority to inspect, investigate, summon witnesses and produce evidence, levy penalties, cancel or suspend activities, and oversee safety, response, and removal preparedness.

Security Clearance: Public Trust – Background Investigation
Salary: GS-12 – $76,378 – $99,296 per annum.
Travel Required: Occasional Travel, 1 – 5 nights per month.

Education Qualification-
GS-12:
To qualify for the GS-12 grade level, all applicants must possess at least one full year of specialized experience (equivalent to at least the GS-11 level). Specialized experience is defined as: Performing financial analysis and evaluation which includes corporate and public finance, financial management structures, operations, practices and/or procedures to develop tentative conclusions and/or initial recommendations for financial management problems.
Selective Placement Factor:
Proven skill in manipulating and analyzing financial or economic data, using quantitative techniques related to the procurement of land. In addition, the applicant must have demonstrated experience developing and executing the federal “Greenbook.” This skill must have been obtained while working in a stressed economic cycle in land procurement industry, either for a regulatory agency, or a real estate company.
Selection Criteria-
After completion of application process. applicants will be evaluated under the Category Rating method, which means, applicants are determined to be qualified, will be placed in one of three pre-defined categories. i.e. “Platinum”, “Gold”, and “Silver”. However, resume must support candidates responses to the scored occupational questionnaire, or score may be lowered. Candidates placed in the “Platinum” category will be identified for referral to the hiring manager and may be invited for an interview. Veterans’ preference rules for category rating will be applied.
