CBSE UGC NET Exam Date, Notification Admit Card & Result @cbseresult.nic.in – Good news for all Applicants who are looking for UGC NET 2018 Exam Notification because recently CBSE have announce notification related to CBSE UGC NET Exam 2018. CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) conduct UGC NET Exam 2018 every year across the country. Every year NET Exam is conducted for 84 Subjects in 89 Examination centers in the whole country.
According to the latest notification by the CBSE this year UGC NET Exam 2018 is going to occur on 5th of November 2017. All the Qualified Applicants who have done their Post Graduation Degree with 55% marks can Apply for the NET Exam 2018 in their respective subjects. the NET/JRF examination 2018 is responsible for becoming Assistant Professors in the College. NET/JRF is also imperative for doing any Research work in the concerned Subjects. NET Exam is the qualifying examination for the concerning Subject. there are two Papers to check the competence of the Candidates. in the first Paper there are common Subject whereas in the Second Paper there is the focus in the Specific Subjects.

UGC holds NET Exam 2018 eligibility Test twice a year once in November/December and Second in May/June. There are two types of Exam conduct by CBSE first is CSIR and second is JRF. SCIR-NET Exam 2018 is conduct only for Science Students who want to go for Research work in particular Subjects for Science. these Students can get scholarship for doing any Research work and perusing the PHD while the JRF-NET Exam 2018 is for the Arts students who want to make their career as the work as Sr Lecturer or Asst Professor in the Colleges and Universities.
CBSE UGC NET Eligibility Criteria 2018-
#1. UGC NET Exam 2018 Educational Qualification-
i) Candidates who have secured at least 55% marks (without rounding off) in Master’s
Degree OR equivalent examination from universities/institutions recognized by UGC in Humanities (including languages) and Social Science, Computer Science & Applications, Electronic Science etc are eligible for this Test. The Other Backward Classes(OBC) belonging to non-creamy layer/Scheduled Caste(SC)/Scheduled Tribe(ST)/ persons with disability(PWD) category candidates who have secured at least 50% marks (without rounding off) in Master’s degree or equivalent examination are eligible for this Test.
ii) Candidates who have appeared OR will be appearing at the qualifying Master’s
degree (final year) examination and whose result is still awaited or candidates whose
qualifying examinations have been delayed may also apply for this test. However, such
candidates will be admitted provisionally and shall be considered eligible for award of Junior Research Fellowship/eligibility for Assistant professor only after they have passed their Master’s Degree examination OR equivalent with at least 55% marks(50% marks in case of OBC(Non- creamy layer)/SC/ST/PWD(persons with disability) category candidates. Such candidates must complete their P.G degree examination within two years from the date of NET result with required percentage of marks, failing which they shall be treated as disqualified.
iii) The Ph.D. degree holders whose Master’s level examination had been completed by
19th September 1991(irrespective of date of declaration of result) shall be eligible for a
relaxation of 5% in aggregate marks (i.e. from 55% to 50%) for appearing in NET.
iv) Candidates are advised to appear in the subject of their post graduation only. The
candidates, whose post graduation subject is not covered in the list of subjects in item may appear in a related subject.
v) Candidates are neither required to send any certificates/documents in support of
their eligibility nor printout of their Application Form (Confirmation Page) to CBSE.
However the candidates, in their own interest, must satisfy themselves about their eligibility for the Test. In the event of any ineligibility being detected by the UGC/CBSE at any stage, their candidature will be cancelled and they shall be liable for legal action.
vi) Candidates having post-graduate diploma/certificate awarded by Indian University/
Institute or foreign degree/diploma/certificate awarded by the foreign University/institute
should in their own interest, ascertain the equivalence of their diploma/degree/certificate with Master’s degree of recognized Indian universities from Association of Indian Universities (AIU), New Delhi.
#2. UGC NET Exam 2018 Age Limit-
i) Junior Research Fellowship: Not more than 28 years as on 01.01.2017. A relaxation
up to 5 years is provided to the candidates belonging to OBC (Non- creamy layer, as per the Central list of OBC available on website: www.ncbc.nic.in ) SC/ST/PWD categories and to women applicants. Relaxation will also be provided to the candidates having research experience, limited to the period spent on research in the relevant/related subject of post graduation degree, subject to a maximum of 5 years, on production of a certificate from appropriate authority. Three years relaxation in age will be permissible to the candidates possessing L.L.M. Degree. Total age relaxation on the above ground(s) shall not exceed five years under any circumstances.
ii) Assistant Professor: There is no upper age limit for applying for eligibility for
Assistant Professor.
EXEMPTION (ELIGIBILITY FOR ASSISTANT PROFESSOR):
i) NET/SLET/SET shall remain the minimum eligibility condition for recruitment and
appointment of Assistant Professors in Universities/Colleges/ Institutions. Provided however, that candidates, who are or have been awarded a Ph. D. Degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of the Ph. D. Degree) Regulations, 2009, shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of NET/SELT/SET for recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professor or equivalent positions in Universities/ Colleges/ Institutions.
ii) The candidates who have passed the UGC/CSIR JRF examination prior to 1989 are
also exempted from appearing in NET.
iii) For SET Candidates: The candidates who have cleared the States Eligibility Test
(SET) accredited by UGC for eligibility for Assistant Professor held prior to 1st June 2002, are exempted from appearing in NET, being eligible to apply for Assistant Professor anywhere in India. For SET held from 1st June 2002 onwards, the qualified candidates are eligible to apply for the post of Assistant Professor only in the universities/ colleges situated in the state from where they have cleared their SET.
#2. UGC NET Exam 2017 Exam Fee-
The Candidates who are going to fill the UGC NET Exam Application form 2017-2018 this year they have to pay the Application Fee Rs 600/- for General, Rs 300/- for OBC & Rs. 150/- for SC/SC Category Applicants through credit card/debit card/net banking or through e-challan generated during the filling up the online Application Form.
#4. UGC NET Exam 2017 Selection Process-
Qualifying Applicants had to obtain the minimum marks separately in Paper-I, Paper-II & paper-III. As per the CBSE NET selection process 2017 the minimum Qualifying marks for General Category Applicants in Paper-I & Paper-II is 40 and Paper-III is 75 while for SC/ST/OBC/PWD category Applicants the minimum qualifying marks for Paper-I & Paper-III is 35 and for Paper-II is 60. Its is mandatory for Applicants to secure the minimum Qualifying marks to Qualify for CBSE UGC NET Exam 2018.
UGC NET 2017 Exam Date-
- CBSE UGC NET will be 5th November 2017 (Sunday). Detailed Notification for National Eligibility Test will be available on 4th August 2017 on the official website.

How to Fill UTET Online/Offline Application Form-
- Visit the official website to fill the UGC NET 2018 Application form
- Click on the link and log in with user id and password.
- Enter all details of your identity and education qualification.
- Upload photo and sign in given size.
- And then pay application fee and click on submit button.
- Take a printout of application form for application number. You will get UGC NET application number. Using your application form you will be able to download admit card of UTET.
- All UGC NET candidates can download admit card OR hall ticket from the official website before 15 days of the exam date.
Note:
- The scanned photograph and signature should be in JPG format.
- The size of the photograph should be 4kb to 40kb.
- The dimension of the photograph should be 3.5 cm (width) and 4.5 cm (height).
- The size of the signature should be 4kb to 30kb.
- The dimension of the signature should be 3.5 cm (width) and 1.5 cm (height).

Paper-I: This paper shall be of general nature, intended to assess the teaching/research aptitude of the candidate. It will primarily be designed to test reasoning ability, comprehension, divergent thinking and general awareness of the candidates. 60 (Sixty) multiple choice questions of 2 marks each will be given out of which the candidates would be required to answer any 50.
Paper-II shall consist of 50 objective type compulsory questions based on the subject selected by the candidate. Each question will carry 2 marks.
Paper-III will consist of 75 objective type compulsory questions from the subject selected by the candidate. Each question will carry 2 marks.
All the questions of Paper – II and Paper – III will be compulsory, covering entire syllabus (including all electives, without options).
Procedure & Criteria for Declaration of Result:
This will comprise of following steps:
Step-I: Minimum marks to be obtained in NET for considering a candidate for the award of JRF and eligibility for Assistant professor.

Step II: Amongst those candidates who have cleared step I, a merit list will be prepared subject-wise and category-wise using the aggregate marks of all the three papers secured by such candidates.
Step III: Top 15% candidates (for each subject and category), from the merit list mentioned under step II, will be declared NET qualified for eligibility for Assistant Professor only.
Download UGC NET 2017-2018 Admit Card-
The Qualified Applicants will be Able to download UGC NET Admit cards 2018 through the official website of CBSE. - Go to the official website of CBSE (UGC) NET, cbsenet.nic.in.
