Hello Readers welcome to our site indjobsportal.in, State Bank of India (SBI) recently issue the recruitment notification for SBI PO posts 2017. SBI has given a Big Surprise for qualified applicants who are preparing for this exam by changing Selection Process of  SBI PO Exam 2017. from this year SBI PO Exam will conclude in two Phase Preliminary Exam  (Phase I) & Mains Exam (Phase II). Phase I is Preliminary Exam which will be of Qualifying Nature.

Phase II for SBI PO Exam 2017  is Main Exam & Descriptive Test. Both Phase of SBI PO Exam 2017 will be Online. Marks of Descriptive Test will be added to Final Selection List. The candidates are required to qualify in the Descriptive Test by securing passing marks, to be decided by the Bank.

Selection Criteria-

The marks obtained in the Preliminary Examination (Phase-I) will not be added for the selection and only the marks obtained in Main Examination (Phase-II) will be added to the marks obtained in GD & Interview (Phase-III) for preparation of the final merit list. The candidates will have to qualify both in Phase-II and Phase-III separately. Marks secured by the candidates in the Written Test (out of 250 marks) are converted to out of 75 and marks secured in Group Discussion & Interview (out of 50 marks) are converted to out of 25. The final merit list is arrived at after aggregating converted marks of Written Test and Group Discussion & Interview.

Phase I Prelims Exam:

Duration: 2 Hours

Sections:  3, Reasoning (35 Ques/35 Marks), English Language (30 Ques/30 Marks), Quantitative Aptitude (35 Ques/35 Marks)

Negative marking: 1/4th of marks will be deducted

Phase II Mains Exam:

Total questions: 200

Total marks: 200

Sections:  4, Reasoning (High Level) [50 ques/50 Marks], English Language [50 ques/50 Marks], Data Analysis & Interpretation [50 Ques/50 Marks], General Awareness, Marketing & Computer [50 Ques/50 Marks]

Negative marking: 1/4th of marks will be deducted

Total time: 2 hours (Objective) + 1 Hour (Descriptive)

Note: Descriptive test of letter writing, essay and precise writing will be included in the main examination itself.
